Pretty amazing day the studio with Sophia Grace Brownlee (@PrincessSGB on Twitter). She has such a natural love of music and is filled with so much joy and happiness, it was a pleasure to spend time with her in the studio when she was in Los Angeles with her parents and her cousin, Rosie @PrincessRGM, to film yet another appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show!!

Sophia Grace and her cousin, Rosie, interviewed stars on the red carpet at the AMAs (American Music Awards) for The Ellen Show! So be sure to watch The Ellen Show on Monday (today) to see their segment. Looks like they met a lot of great stars!! Can’t wait to hear what those 2 clever little girls asked them! haha

Lisa Murray and Dapo Torimiro

I am so excited.  Dapo Torimiro, the Songwriter/Producer who is a subject in my documentary, sent out a press release this morning and all of a sudden it just got real for me.  I have never doubted Dapo’s abilities, not for one moment.  But there is something magical and amazing when someone’s dream begins to come true.  It’s a feeling.  A profound feeling of “YESSSSSS!!!!!”

I remember when I met Dapo and all of the years that I’ve known him and all of the countless hours of conversations about my dreams, his dreams and dreams in general… both on camera and off, and in this moment, I am so proud of him.  I know how much he’s been through and sacrificed to get to this point and he deserves every drop of success that comes his way.  Dropping out of medical school in Nigeria to become a music producer in America, he followed his dream on a whim.  He could only hope it would happen and then put in hours and hours of hard work and sweat to ensure he was at the very least given a chance.  And now look at you Dapo!  You did it!  Dreams are amazing aren’t they?  But more amazing than the dream is the DREAMER.  To all you out there reading this with a dream burning inside of you… read about Dapo’s success and know that your success is just around the next corner too!  Keep going and don’t give up.
